Seasons

Early-flowering shrubs such as witch hazel and snowdrop, which can bloom as early as the end of February, herald the arrival of spring in the botanical garden. Their yellow, sun-like flowers can be seen from a distance. In early March, they are joined by fragrant viburnum, grassy heather, and hellebore.

In late March and early April, carpets and curtains of early-flowering ephemeroids such as wheatgrass, cowslip, pushkinia, and snowdrops catch the eye. Magnolia kobus, dogwood, and forsythia bloom around this time. The main flowering period for beautifully flowering shrubs and trees occurs between mid-April and the end of May. The garden is painted in a variety of colours during this time: pink cercis, weigela, colquitia, red chaenomeles, yellow golden rain beans and Hugon's rosehip, white meadowsweet and exochorda, colourful peonies, sakura, and lilacs. An incredible impression!

The "Rock Garden" and "Aromatheca" expositions are particularly appealing in May due to the flowering of herbaceous plants such as blood-red geranium, white ash, periwinkle, violet, marigold, ground cover phlox, aurinia, Iberian, sage, and others.

It's also worth going to the flower, decorative, and ground cover plant collections, where cockscombs, stonecrops, sunflowers, orchis, cyclamen, and other plants are starting to bloom.
